A GPS time clock that puts every hour on the right job

Hours that land on the wrong job, or on no job, make every job-costing number wrong. Partner’s time clock ties each punch to the job and the tasks being worked, so payroll and job costing read the same hours — and it catches the shift someone forgot to close before it becomes a 16-hour day.

Time clock with GPS

Hours land on the right job by themselves.

Punch in from a phone in two taps and the hours attach to the job and the cost code. A worker who opts in is clocked in on arriving at a site (the punch says so), and one shift can be split across a bundle of tasks worked as a unit without inflating anybody’s total.

  • Two-tap punch, works offline
  • Per-worker opt-in auto clock-in on arrival, marked as automatic on the timesheet
  • Cost code on the punch for job costing
  • Multi-task shifts split by estimated hours, never evenly

How it runs on a job

  1. 1

    Clock in on the job

Pick the job and the tasks you’re on and tap Clock in. Workers who turn on auto clock-in are clocked in when they arrive at a job site, and the punch is marked as automatic on their timesheet.

  2. 2

    Switch tasks without punching out

Moving to another job or task mid-day is one tap on Switch to — the hours split where they belong.

  3. 3

Break, or clock out for the day

Break if you’re coming back; Clock out for the day when you’re done. A shift left open overnight asks when you actually finished before it closes.

  4. 4

Hours flow to payroll and the job

The same hours price payroll and the job’s labor cost. The office sees each person’s week against the overtime line.

Questions contractors ask

Does it clock people in automatically?

Only workers who turn it on. With auto clock-in on, arriving at a job site clocks them in and the punch is marked as automatic. Clocking out is always up to the worker.

What happens when someone forgets to clock out?

The next time they open the clock it asks when they actually finished and closes the shift then, instead of counting the night. The office also sees shifts that need a look.

Does it work offline?

Yes. A punch with no signal is saved on the phone with its real time and sent when the phone is back online.

Can it warn me about overtime?

Each person’s week shows against the overtime line — amber when they’re close, red once they’re over — and the office is told before the next shift would cross it.

Is the location tracked all the time?

No. Location is shared with the office on the team map only while a worker is clocked in.
