AI receptionist for hvac contractors

Every heating and cooling call answered — even at 2 a.m. in January.

It asks heating or cooling, what the system is doing and who’s in the home — and treats no heat in a freeze or a CO alarm as urgent, with safety first.

What it asks a new caller

  • Whether it is the heating or the cooling
  • What it is doing — not running, blowing the wrong temperature, a noise, or a leak
  • What kind of system it is (furnace, heat pump, boiler, central air) and roughly how old
  • Whether anyone in the home is elderly, an infant, or has a medical need
  • Whether they have checked the thermostat and the breaker

One at a time, skipping anything they’ve already said — plus their name, number and the address.

What it treats as an emergency

  • No heat when it is freezing outside
  • No cooling in extreme heat with someone vulnerable in the home
  • A carbon monoxide alarm going off
  • A smell of gas

Safety advice first, then it files the call as urgent and alerts you — never promising a time or a price.

Questions

Can I change what it asks?
Yes. These are the heating & cooling questions it starts with; in Settings you can rewrite the questions and the list of emergencies in your own words, one per line.
What does it do in an emergency?
Safety first — If a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding or they smell gas, tell them to leave the house now and call 911 or the gas company from outside — and not to flip switches on the way out. Then it takes their name, the address and the best number, files the call as urgent and alerts you right away. It never promises an arrival time or a price.
Will it quote prices?
No. It takes the details and a person follows up. It never invents prices, schedules or commitments on your behalf.
