Answering service for contractors

An answering service that knows what a contractor needs to ask.

It answers your line in your company’s name, asks the questions your trade asks — what’s wrong, where, how soon — and hands you the job, not just a name and number.

Takes the job, not a message

It asks your trade’s questions one at a time, skips what the caller already said, and gets the name, the best number and the job address.

New callers become leads

Someone asking for work lands in your leads with what they asked for — not on a sticky note or in a message you have to call back to decode.

Urgent calls reach you now

An active leak, no heat in a freeze, a burning smell: safety advice first, then the call is filed as urgent and you’re alerted right away.

Every call on the record

A transcript of every call and a summary after it, so you can check what was said instead of trusting a note.

How a call goes

  1. 1Forward your existing number when you can’t pick up — or all the time.
  2. 2It answers as your company, asks what the job is, where and how soon.
  3. 3The caller is filed as a lead; urgent calls are flagged and you’re alerted.
  4. 4You get the summary and the transcript, and call back knowing the job.

Questions

How is this different from a live answering service?
A live service bills per minute or per call for a person taking messages. This answers every call the same way at 2 a.m. as at 2 p.m., asks your trade’s questions, and costs $99/month with 300 minutes ($0.35 a minute after that). Calls under 15 seconds and spam are free.
Will it quote prices or promise a time?
No. It takes the details and a person follows up. It never invents prices, schedules or commitments on your behalf.
Do I have to switch phone companies?
No. You forward your existing number; your carrier does that with a setting and we walk you through it.
